Daily Inspiration: "throwback " LL Cool J (Around The Way Girl Video)

Seriously! This joint right here used to ride hard! As I recall this song from other memories while riding in my cousins 1988 Pontiac 6000! Ha! I must've grew up in that car. I was 11 years old and this joint was stupid fresh! Enjoy!

Historians: Dr. Khalid Muhammad "Danger Educated Black Man"!

How long will we sit around and watch, while our heroes our slain and murdered?
This post is reality, Black reality. I remember growing up and riding around in my cousins 1988 Pontiac 6000 listening to lectures by the Honorable Louis Farrakhan as well as the late Dr. Khalid Muhammad and being mesmerized. During those times the only examples of a Black men available were NWA, LL Cool J, Micheal Jordan, Micheal Jackson, Eddie Murphy and The Fresh Prince.
Having the opportunity to hear Black men like this speak broadened my horizons. The showed me eloquently speaking Black individuals who weren't afraid to stand up for what they believed
Dr. Khalid Muhammad taught a brutal truth. He was infamously criticized as being a racist and anti-Semitic. If you really take time out to listen to what he is saying that is exactly not what it is. Though through the way he expresses his points it may seem like he was being spiteful and hateful. He was just a passionate historian spreading his word. The truth sometimes is like bad tasting medicine. It can be bitter to the taste, and hard to swallow. But in then end, it's good for you.

Proceed With Caution.

Daily Inspiration: Common performing "Faithful" Live

Fidelity. In times like these when our faith is tested the most it is extremely hard to be faithful. Faithful to GOD, faithful to relationships or anything else for that matter.
I woke up this morning thinking about my faith in terms of where I am in life and where I'm going. Though I have no set idea as to what GOD has planned for me and my life, sometimes I wonder am I diong the right things.
My faith is tested everyday through the simple trials in life. Deep down I just want to take some time and get away from it all. The stress, work (or lack there of), my family, my music, the babymama drama and even my kids. Not saying I want to up and leave my kids. However being a young, single father is stressful sometimes and I sometimes need to gather myself. I started this thing young, so half the time I have no idea what I'm doing. I feel like a big brother to my kids moreso than a father sometimes.
All these things pull at my faith in one way or another. Like here in Milwaukee I basically have carte blanche when it comes to anything that I do musically. However I'm sick and tired of the city. I feel as soon as I leave that this place might blow up, and I'll be somewhere else starting from jump. If that is the case then Imma throw in the towel and take my ass to church or something! Lol!
Sometimes I'm faithful to all the wrong things, most of the times I'm faithful to all the wrong things to be honest! I've only really ever been faithful to maybe one of my girlfriends ever in life, I don't go to church or any religious service faithfully....I do manage to pay my cell phone bill faithfully every month though. And if there is some extra dollars to go around, I am faithfully buying some damn intoxicant to get efffed up! I pray about once a day! I guess the only thing I can say that I have been extremely faithful too was making music, and the pursuit of my goals in music. I'll be damned though if everytime I turn around I see folks who haven't been nearly as faithful as me getting put on. The shit is happening right before my eyes. I often question what it is I want out of life, I don't even know though. I always said that if I remain faithful, I'd get everything that I ever wanted in life. As the years go by though that seems like some shit that your parents just tell you to keep you pacified!
Life's a bitch and then you die, at least before I die I wanna be able to see some of the shit that I envision in my dreams. Just a lil bit. Maybe if I remain faithful.

Damn! I got ethered by Mz Stylez on SimplyStylez.com! She's tough! Its all good tho, she still gets love from ya boy!

I always go way out on a limb to get my music heard (at least) by someone out of my immediate circles! The kid got BODIED this week on simplystylez.com! Lol! I ain't mad though, that would be madd sensitive of me to catch feelings. I just roll wit the criticisms. Everyone won't like every track. She did mention that she felt the music on my myspace page (in her written blog), just not the particular song that I sent! I am okay with that, as well as being the simplystylez.com installment #3 source of comic relief! Folks it takes heart to make this music, and if u can't take getting knocked..how can you take getting props. Respect to Mz Styles, and what she's doing to get folks music out to the masses. I was at least in the same review with Illa J, and Willie the Kid! Good company at least!

Greetings from Planet BLAX!

Where should I start? Hmmm. Lemme get this together here. Okay! Who knows the last time I posted something on here from my opinion or my life for that matter. Seems like weeks. Oh well. The new things that have been going on with Adebisi are as follows.
Last Friday was the "Midwest Connect" showcase that took place at Stonefly Brewery. That joint was off the hook! The homie Mikkey Halsted came down from Chicago with his crew and they represented! Everyone on the showcase did an excellent job (Yung Kris, The Cranberry Show & Haz Solo)! I am building bridges in the Midwest so if you wanna jump on the train come and connect! I'll be posting the footage for that show as soon as I have a chance to look at it and edit it. I promise!
Along with having Chicago come down and show some love to the Mil, I also got some love from Chicago this week. I have a new song with Mikkey Halsted and Que Billah called "Midwest Gets The Money", and its a banger! Well the homie at fakeshoredrive.com showed some love and posted the joint. Haha! I was trying to finaggle my way onto that blog, but they only post Chicago hip hop! So I did the next best thing and did a song with two of Chicago's hottest artists! You gotta get it in somehow shiiiiit! This is BLAXLIFE and where there is a will there is definitely a way!
I have a few other big plans in the makings for the future to. I'll only reveal to you this one. I will soon be putting on a lecture and discussion series dealing with some issues affecting young, black males in my community. This will definitely be off the chain. I am an artist and am I no way confined to just rhyming! Please. I'm not only a renaissance man, I am the renaissance

P.S: Aint my lil girl Asabi the cutest! She's the Queen of Planet BLAX, and she'll devour you like she devours chicken wings if you act up! What, what!!!

I am ashamed to say that I am one of the last sites of the day to post my own Freestyle! I have been working it all day, and for the most part I haven't had time to delve into my own blog because I was trying to get the Freestyle posted on other folks blogs!
Lemme tell it! HaHa! I posted the Freestyle sometime after midnight last night, and when I woke up it had gotten about 28 downloads. I started blasting thelink out on the net and by the time I left home I maybe had 60 downloads. After that the shit started taking off! Through the help of all the bloggers, internet supporters, fans, listeners and everyone else I am proud to say that this weeks Freestyle reached over 600 downloads in a matter of a few hours! This is the power of the internet! And just think I made all this happen with a hot freestyle, while sitting behind my laptop, sipping water at a Starbucks on the East Side of Milwaukee!

Fatherhood Video Blog #1. BLAX love da KIDS!

BlaxLifeTV: Fatherhood video blog #1 from Adebisi Agoro on Vimeo.

Fatherhood:

Although I am passionate about my music, and I put tons of work into accomplishing my goals the thing I am most passionate about is my children.
Nothing in this world will ever come before my kids to me, They are my rock, my strength and my joy. I can’t even express in words how they make me feel, and what they mean to me. When I am around them I feel so filled with joy, that I just hug and kiss them till they get sick of me. Well sometimes! They always appreciate a bug hug and kiss every now and then, and I just have an infinite amount to give! My son is a boy, but he’s still an emotional little something. My daughter she has no choice, but to accept Daddies Sugar! I told her I own them kisses till she turns 18, and she can only give them out at my discretion. I kiss her like 50 times a day when we are together. I LOVE MY KIDS YO!
I never understood how a man can deny, or just out right not spend time with his kids when they are a part of you. My kids look and act like me, they are two little me’s! I know and understand that, and any ill will I could do to them. I would indirectly be doing to myself. And that is why I treat them better than I treat myself. They are my Royalty, my bosses and I just slave and work for them! I love and accept that position. Watch this little video of me and my kids at home having a good time!

BlaxLifeTV: Model Spotlight "Jazzie Belle"

BlaxLifeTV Midwest Model Spotlight from Adebisi Agoro on Vimeo.
Gorgeous. Innovative. Ambitious. Ever so often a force of nature arrives to change the formation of the universe in which they reside. Just like the solar eclipse, this distinctive movement occurs at a unique moment in time. Carlita has solidified her position in the atmosphere and now it's time for the world to take notice. Growing up in Detroit, Michigan where she was the baby girl out of 10 siblings, Carlita never had a problem standing out in the crowd as her own individual. Born with strikingly good looks reminiscent of a young Supreme and long locks to die for, Carlita was the apple of her parent's eye and the admiration of pubescent boys in the neighborhood. However, Carlita never allowed the approbation to swell her head; instead she allowed the education she received from school to do that. As an honor roll student, Carlita was set to attend any college of her choice but was determined to showcase a hidden talent she possessed but never revealed to anyone. Known to everyone as daddy's little girl, upon exiting high school, Carlita did the unknown and opted to unleash the tight grip of her father's possessive hold. She decided to form her independence and take control of the life she knew she had to live; that life was to become a female rapper. So, Carlita and her best friend of more than 10 years formed a group together called Glamour Girlz. Carlita was now known as Jazzie; just like the instrument of a saxophone, soft and delicate on the outside but once you start pushing the buttons and analyzing the piece, a strong conviction belts out; leaving its predators in awe. Utilizing the same ambition she had at her days in school, Glamour Girlz entered several talent shows, appeared in local rap artists' music videos and landed a role as an extra's in Eminem's monstrous debut movie "8 Mile". The group was well on their way leaving a mark in the underground rap scene. Glamour Girlz moved to New York City to pursue their dreams of attaining a major record deal. Unfortunately, that dream was short-lived when the girls decided to part ways and pursue solo projects. Jazzie was now alone and knew that she had to continue pursuing her dreams on all levels. Always being told of her exotic beauty, Jazzie chose to give modeling a shot at spearheading her rap career into the eyes of industry powerbrokers. That feat worked and editors of men's magazines took notice. Others are shocked to find out that after ten months of modeling, Jazzie has been featured in major men's magazines such as Feds Sweets Magazine, The Source, Hip Hop Weekly and AS IS Magazine and Cover Girl of Straight Stuntin with 50 Cent and the road to success is still coming at a steadfast pace. Jazzie is on the fast track towards becoming a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry. Not because of the accomplishments she's made but due to her willingness of not settling for mediocrity. It's not everyday for someone to raise the bar that was set for them at a high position. To see what this smart, beautiful young species has accomplished in her short existence on Earth, the skies are the only limitation she is set to face. Much like the eclipse, Jazzie is an astronomical phenomenon.

How about some Hard Core? "Triumph" Wu Tang Clan. This video was soo dope!

WU TANG IS FOR THE BABIES!

The Road Is Made by Walking.

This blog isn't about much, however it is about something! Haha! How you like that!
What's new in the life of Adebisi? Usually I say not much to those who ask. Even though the real answer would be the exact opposite.
As an Emerging artist in the game I am now in subtle ways seeing my grind pay off.
I'mma show you how one decision leads to others and greater results. Some months ago I started recording and E.p with my homie Reason of 4ARMusic Group. We soon found out that we had a good vibe and chemistry going. So with that energy we banged out some hot shit. Out of the 9 tracks we banged out we kept seven. Out of those seven tracks I released one to the masses (This is), and it got a good reception!
Around that time I saw that there was a showcase going on in New York that I had been wanting to perform at and I just hadn't. I contacted the the organizers to that showcase and headed out to NY for an audition. WhewI went out to NY auditioned with the song "This Is" and get invited to be a part of the showcase. All the said in done and i come back home and hear of another showcase going on in ATL (Almost Famous), so immediately I want to do that one too. Fuck it this is what i do!
By no means am I a rich man that can afford to travel around the world nor am I signed to a company that can pay me. I just do it, because I was born to do it.
Anyway. I do some fundraising, save some money up, bust a few hustles, quit my job hen I'm off to New York (this was all a 3 wk process). NYC, long story short I do a lot of networking, do the showcase and everything goes just cool. My real importance for that trip was the resources that it opened up for me.
Now while I'm down in NYC I contact Rovella Williams from Almost Famous to see if she knows anyone in NYC. She connects me with Yusef of Digiwaxx. Good thing. We talk before the showcase, and the seeds are planted for a future business relationship.
Every action has a reaction. If I wouldn't have recorded the joints with Reason, I never would have gotten any reaction from an NYC DJ, never would of blossomed to go and make connects in in NY, I would've most likely never had the gusto to go do Almost Famous, etc..
I actually could go on and on about this, but by now you should really get the picture. In order to get to where you are tyring to go, at first you gotta strat going!. The road is made by walking, and no matter what happens along the road you must only keep focus on your final destination. You can be broke, hungry, cold, lonely, abused, depressed, what ever. No matter the situation as long as you stride forward and keep it moving everything will work out fine
I gotta go. Time to walk that road.

Sha Stimuli asks "is Biggie really the greatest of all times"? R.I.P B.I.G!

This is a post written by the homie Sha Stimuli. It was written about three years ago, but he just recently put it out on his facebook group. I thought it was pretty interesting so I decided to share it with you all. Take it away Sha!

March 9th, 2007 marked the 10 yr anniversary of the death of arguably the greatest rapper of all time. It doesn't seem like it’s been that long and it probably won't matter how many years pass, his music and memory will live on.
I remember getting the phone call that he passed that morning and I couldn't believe it, I didn't believe it. I still recall waaaay back when my brother (producer/rapper Lord Digga) brought home Big's demo and the first few songs that he produced for him. The week before his death I was just at school arguing with some Jersey dudes about Biggie being better than Redman. I was telling folks Big was better than everybody, or maybe he was just MY favorite.
When it comes to Christopher Wallace a lot of questions arise. Would he still be on top if he was here? Would Jay-Z be Jay-Z? Was Tupac the better artist? Was he really the best emcee?
Who knows the answers to these questions but after some conversations with some hip-hop enthusiasts and fans of B.I, here are 10 reasons why Big was the greatest of all time in no particular order.

#10.THE JUICY FACTOR

Big's first commercial single "Juicy" had a vocal intro where he shouted out the people who called the police on him when he was trying to make money to feed his daughter. He introduced the world to a hustler with a heart and a motivation anyone could understand. His story was that he was on his way out of town to continue selling drugs and Puff (his name at the time) heard his music and begged him to come back and record an album. Rap was his way out the hood. We identified with his rise from ashy to classy. Everyone saw Big in the hoodies and fatigue jackets and watched him step up to the shiny shirts and diamonds. "Birthdays was the worst days, now we sip champagne when we thirstaay." Who can't appreciate that?

#9.WORDPLAY

Biggie's rhyme pattern was always innovative but very simple. He didn't use many big words but he managed to maintain the wit and cleverness in his bars. He would say so much with so little and with that method he satisfied the party goers that wanted to be able to spit his lyrics while inebriated and the hip-hop head that wanted to break down bars listening in his crib. You may not get what I'm saying but picture "your heartbeat sounds like Sasquatch feet...” or "I perform like Mike/anyone Tyson, Jordan, Jackson..." or "they used to call me fatso now they call me Castro." The words in these lines stand alone without rhythm or trying to accent a punch line. It just sounds like things someone would say in a conversation and it made Biggie great. He didn't force feed you these raps. "Rolex and bracelets, frostbit, rings too/n***as round the way call me igloo, stick who?" And one of my favorite examples of wordplay: "Don't fuck with B.I that's that 'Oh I, thought he was wack' oh come come now/why yall so dumb now? Hunt me or be hunted I got three hundred and fifty-seven ways to simmer sauté/I'm the winner all-day, lights get dimmer down Biggie's hallway..."

#8. THE TRENDSETTER

"Ain't shit change/’cept the number after the dot on the range." Not many people knew what Big was talking about until Jay went into depth about the difference between range rovers and maybe we didn't care but it sure did set a standard for those who wanted to floss whips out there. "My Moschino ho, my Versace hottie...” We have to admit that although these clothing lines existed before the shout out, Moschino and Versace became the hottest gear for awhile. The prices soared and the fakes popped up and the black community was rocking em like crazy. The funny thing is that Biggie didn't even wear the clothes he bigged up. He said they couldn't fit him. He wasn't the first to pop Cristal in the video but he made the name bigger than ever. He hipped the general population to what the good life was all about. "I know you sick of this name brand n***a wit/flows girls say he's sweet like licorice..."

He may not have been the first one to have an alias but he made it hot. You knew who Frank White was when he spit it out and if you didn't catch the correlation between the character in the movie "King Of New York" then you wanted to know what the hell he meant. Wu-Tang may argue that they started the names from another universe first but Big did make it very popular by choosing a name that subliminally suggested what he wanted you to think and what became unavoidable. One thing that Big did make famous was the "no pen" syndrome. Nowadays nobody writes rhymes down if you ask them, they just think em. From Jay to Ja to Kanye all say that they don’t actually pen their lyrics but Big was the first to say it and make how you construct your rhymes a big deal in the industry.

#7.HEARTTHROB NEVER

This may seem like a weird case to point out but Christopher Wallace was not only aware of his physical shortcomings but he made light of them. Now let me say that I don't judge men so him being ugly is not a fact I would back up but Big did what some would call taking the bullets out of the gun when it comes to things you could say about him. "Black and ugly as ever..." Lines like that tend to make the ladies look at him as if he's more than just the exterior and he knows it. Of course you heard the stories about how funny and charismatic he was, or how the ladies loved him no matter what he looked like. It all added to the mystery of Biggie Smalls. Aside from the ladies, men have so much hate in their blood that if Big was a pretty boy it would be harder to love him. Guys rocked Biggie shirts all day because in the back of their minds he was no threat to their girlfriend. He couldn't be a literal heartthrob and be admired by so many dudes. It just wouldn't work. The King has to have some flaws so we feel better about ourselves right? Not to mention he jabbed himself any chance he got. "If Fay have twins she probably have Two Pacs..." "When I die fuck it I wanna go to hell/cuz I'm a piece of shit it ain't hard to fuckin tell." "Its unreal, out the blue Frank White got sex appeal/bitches used to go ‘ill!’..."

#6.COLLABOS

The King is not always loved but feared and respected. The Notorious B.I.G may have been respected more than loved by some people but Christopher Wallace was humble, soft-spoken and kind and he made everyone want to work with him. He gave himself to the crew Junior Mafia and got his boys from the hood on the stage and even got them a plaque on their walls. He introduced Lil Kim and Lil Cease to the world when they didn't even know rap would be their ticket. He put his CEO on the mic and lent his vocals to every artist on the label from Mase and The Lox to Total and 112 and even did classics with his rival Jay-Z to help solidify Jay's place as a great emcee. On his way to the top Big didn't hesitate to do a joint with everyone from Shaquille O'neal to Michael Jackson. He respected the grind and he was willing to give back. He heard Cam'ron spit live and made sure Un made him his first artist. Biggie extended himself over and over jumping on his manager Mark Pitts' artist Tracey Lee's "Keep ya hands High" to spill some of the hottest bars ever on a feature record. On every joint his presence stood out and you remembered his rhymes. Big’s willingness to do features made him likable by all regions and it also allowed him to steal fans because he demolished any track he was a guest on.

#5.THE DIDDY FACTOR

Sean Combs is responsible for molding the careers of quite a few successful rap and R&B artists. When Mase said "I was Murder, P. Diddy made me pretty/did it for the money, now can you get wit me?" the same held true for The Notorious one. His image was hardcore, his lyrics were abrasive but when teamed with Puff, Biggie was able to make records like "One More Chance," "Big Poppa" and "Hypnotize." If you questioned his dedication to remaining thug you could always look to his CEO as the reason for going commercial. When they did their shows and split the room up into 2 sides, Big would command the "n***as" while Puff would shout out the ladies. It was a perfect balance that would make for a great look throughout his career. It was Diddy that reversed the word 'pregnant' in "Gimme the Loot." Blame Puff for muting 'Son of Satan' in "Victory" and he also changed the ending of "Somebody's Got to Die" to something much more friendly. The public accepted Big in the fanciest of clothes or using samples from the 80's because they knew it was Diddy's formula. We knew if it was solely up to Big, his album would’ve sounded like 12 joints just mirroring "Warning" and "Machine gun Funk.” And even when Mr. Wallace was a tad bit reserved and let his lyrics do the walking, the roles reversed and Diddy was the one screaming ad libs and providing the missing link on songs like “My Downfall” and “Long Kiss Goodnight.” Puff was yelling and cursing at the haters while Big killed em with the verses. Odd couple, perfect match...Take that.

#4. STORYTELLING

Not many emcees can paint a precise picture when they're in the booth. Slick Rick had a knack for it, LL made you visualize what he was saying and Nas is still today a vivid, yet intricate storyteller. But Chris Wallace took twisted plots and ill scenarios that made you question whether or not it was reality or fiction. His attention to detail made the listener forget this was a song and it was like you were just hearing a story. He didn't hesitate to throw himself in the mix and tell it in first person which always made it that much crazier. In the aforementioned "Somebody's Got to Die" he vows vengeance for a lost homie and takes you through every thought and deed up until retaliation. He even brings up his own conscience and reluctance to hit anyone else other than his primary target. That sets up the ending which makes you feel for him as the victim and as a criminal. In "N***as Bleed" he tells a tale about a transaction that turns into a robbery and in the process introduces characters like Arizona Rob and a Maxi Priest look-a-like that he has to take out to get away with the bread. He takes a violent story and ends it with a silly surprise to add color. While in "Story To tell" he makes a first person account about sleeping with a New York Knickerbocker's wife and having to pretend to be a thief once he gets busted in the crib one of the most memorable joints of our time. It is one of the few stories other than "La Di Da Di" that can be recited in a club word for word. Big was a Michelangelo with the pen or without it in his case.

#3. RECORD SALES

Before Soundscan arguments in the hood and talks about first weeks of sales, people actually cared about rhymes and who was nicer. Kane or Rakim? KRS or Redman? Biggie or Pac? In the mid 90s we saw a shift of importance from who was better to who was selling. Hip-hop gave birth to the rap business and record companies respected artists that were bringing in plaques. In turn, the fans began to respect the same thing. So when the west coast rappers were moving units and the east was content with being the pioneers of this, Big came along and showed the world that an east coast rapper from Brooklyn could get people to go to the store and spit some hot verses at the same time. It was tough to argue that he wasn't the best when he was outselling all the underground rappers he was being compared to. Of course sales aren't everything and in the long run there were other artists who sold more but a platinum album from a solo New York artist in 1994 was rare. Life After Death was a double CD that went on to sell more than 5 million copies. It’s hard to compare Tupac's album every year's sales to Big's 2 Lps but while he was here the King ruled.
.
#2. THE FLOW

Maybe it's the baritone vocals, the tough delivery or the audible flow that keeps him still banging in our decks today. Big was able to alternate flows within verses but keep it playful and simple enough for the audience to follow. For instance, if you've ever been to a Jay concert where he pays tribute to B.I.G he plays his verse from "Mo Money, Mo Problems" and cuts it for the crowd to chime in with the words after "B.I.G P.O.P.P.A/no info for the DEA...." Everyone seems to get lost a lil within the rhyme but the bounce is maintained, all of a sudden the whole crowd gets it back at “throw your rollies in the sky…” His rhyme pattern switches up showing the signs of a true lyricist but his approach is still bright and distinct. Even when borrowing the Bone Thug’s flow on “Notorious Thugs” he is colorful and easy to sing along with. You may not agree but consider that Shyne got a tremendous buzz and deal just for resembling Big’s vocals early in his career. When you listen to every song on his 2 albums you notice that every track gets a different flow and on every beat he uses a new approach. The man sang, he harmonized on hooks he rhymed words within the bars: “Who shot ya/separate the weak from the obsolete it’s hard to creep them Brooklyn streets…” He was ahead of his time and it is evident because his work is timeless.

#1. CONTENT

Of course there was and will always be rappers out there who have messages in their music. There will always be someone trying to say something to the people. However only a few will be heard, accepted or even be hot enough to make a change. The fine line between education and entertainment is tested by many artists but when it came to Big, it always seemed like entertainment was his motive. In his defense his content was at times very educational. "Ten Crack Commandments" may not seem like your typical schoolbook lesson but in the streets it’s a serious code to live by. "Suicidal Thoughts" may seem like some demented song but it represented the album's theme which was "ready to die." Big's mentality before his deal was that he was living like a dead man and he knew it.

His music was the realization that his life was going down the drain and "Life After Death" was supposed to be the rebirth. "Sky's the Limit" talked about never giving up, "You're Nobody Til Somebody Kills You" is an ironic song that talks about how one can become a memory in a blink of an eye. What is most disturbing is that his content would have progressed much further had he been alive. His social commentary would have been out of this world by now. The fact that he is still relevant today says a whole lot. We miss u Big and we’ll always love Big Poppa.

Man FUCK YO SWAG!

Back at it again folks. What the fuck is up with “swag”? I mean this is the gayest fucking term used in hip hop since……..I guess “swag” just takes the cake for the gayest shit in hip hop EVER!
So I performed in the AF Showcase last night and I’ll be damned if every artist on the fucking stage didn’t say something to the affect of what the fuck they swag was on! NIGGA YA SWAG IS ON CRACK! Get the fuck outta here, because no one gives a fuck! As far as my knowledge goes, we used to call some shady ass weed “swag”, and that definitely wasn’t a good thing!
And isn’t a man talking about his “swag” some ol’ feminine sounding shit! My swag is the best, no one has swagger like us, blah, blah, fucking blah! I give a fuck if you bought some 800 doller Gucci shoes, 300 True Religion jeans, 100 Yung Rich Sweater, and a limited edition New Era fitted cap and apparently put your swag on! Faggots that ain’t what you would call having “swag”, that’s buying material shit to make up for what the fuck you lack as a man! Real men don’t give a fuck about having or obtaining swag, real men know they have it, and it doesn’t necessarily mean “swag”.
On the real my damn jeans were 29.99 from Old Navy, shirts come from various places, and my shoes…well okay I do go all out for my kicks! But damnit still the clothes don’t make me, it’s how I rock em.
Back to you punks and your “swag”. No one wants to hear you rapping about how fly you are or how great your “swag” is! It tickles me, because these cats ain’t talking about how good their mic skills are! And that is the shit they really should be focusing on, I swear they’d get further. I've seen a lot of cats jacking on they “swag” who had horrible stage presence, lacked originality and overall plain sucked! I know one thing though…..them niggas sho nuff had “swag”! LMBAO!

P.S: As I am up writing this the homie Ren of No Gimmicks productions is sleep in the Hotel we are at in Atlanta snoooring his ass off! I mean this dude sounds like the equivalent to a room full of snoring muthafuckas! Lol! He never reads the blog so I know there is no way he’ll find out I was talking about him. Unless one of you folks reading this blog tells him.

Real Talk, ya boy done found sum’n special in this thang!

If you didn’t know in the last few months I stopped talking to all the women who I have been associated with in my past. For one I didn’t want my future life/wife or whoever to be anywhere near associated with my past. Not saying my past was bad, but damn when I get into another relationship I want it all to be new! No old friends, associates and bitches who I been knowing. Whats fun about that? So I made a conscious decision to jus stop fucking wit any chick that I was fucking with mentally, physically and spiritually. Plus none of them were able to provide me with what I needed. I don’t have the patience to raise a woman, I already have two kids!
However I have met a woman who happens to encompass all the things I need and want in a woman. Now ya boy aint jumping the gun or nothing. I’m just saying! I’m a different type of dude and I really do require a special type of woman. And in this certain someone I have found some beautiful and rare qualities that I like my women to possess!
I have no idea if any of the chicks I used to talk to still read this blog but if you do shawty I gotz to Andre 3 Stacks that azz! Lol! And I apologize if this message gets you down, but I cc’d every girl that I see, see’d round town and I’d hate to make you frown but I’d rather see her smile! Real Talk.
On a side note I don’t believe I told ya’ll that I upset this female because she was sweating me to smash, and I declined! Ha! How she gone try and catch an attitude with the kid! I was trippin. I had to tell her maybe if she wasn’t throwing that thang at me so hard I may have considered doing the do! Self respect is sexy to me, how could I take her serious. In the end she said I didn’t have any feelings! I laughed and said maybe I don’t! Lol! I do though really, however she should’ve been more into me, my mission and my music than trying to get into these XL boxers you dig!
What I like most about this new special someone in my life is that she is into ME, and hell I am into her, We share a grip of like interests, we bs and have fun, she stay checkin on ya boy, and she FINE as hell! There are more subtle things that I like about her too, but I feel no need to tell ya’ll asses everything!
She’s a winner and I know my mama and my sister would approve! Shiiiiiiiiiit ya’ll must don’t know what that means! Real talk mama didn’t at all like my kids mama……..I should’ve listened to her! LMAO!

Long Road

Just so ya’ll ain’t getting it twisted all these recent blog posts were written before I posted them. The damn days inn I stayed in while in Atlanta had some jacked up ass wi fi. Basically that shit wasn’t working.
I am currently on the road back from ATL and like this long road that we are traveling, my life has been one journey along this long metaphoric road! It makes me feel satisfied to know that all the work I have put into pursuing my destiny is not in vain. Thus far in my music career I have had ups and I have definitely had some downs. However when it all starts to come together you begin to realize that all the trials and tribulations were all a process of God making you better prepared and equipped for the situation!
As you would all know if you have been keeping up with my blog posts I left my job about a month ago to further pursue my music career and really it was probably one of the wisest decisions that I have ever made for myself. Real talk I’m broke as hell right about now, but I have no fear and a heart full of faith. Everything will work out just fine for me, because I am pursuing what God has planned for me to do. Even though last week I was questioning my decision as to did I make the right decision. You know being behind on rent, and having to scrap up some food so when my kids come thru they can have something to eat will make you second guess. Rent still ain’t paid, but fuck it the kids are still straight! Some money I was kind of counting on didn’t come through like I planned either, but hey Imma still make it.
Last week was a bitch, but this weekend in ATL made it all worthwhile. I constantly keep the faith that God will reward me for being faithful to my craft. I know he will.

Almost Famous

First off I must thank Ms. Rovella Williams for extending me the opportunity to perform and showcase my talents in front of one of the most wonderful crowds ever at the Atlanta Almost Famous Showcase. This was clearly one of my high points as an emerging artist.
The crowd was AWESOME…well to me at least (I can’t say they showed everyone who graced the stage the same love, but hey every artist can’t perform either)! Another night, another great show! I had everything perfectly working in my favor! One of my first observations was that none of the artists worked on getting the crowd involved, so in my show I made sure I had them rocking with me. Another thing was that hell, these cats laaaaacked mature mic handling and stage presence! So I definitely made sure I emceed the hell out of that thang! And……it was all received MOTHERFUCKING well!
All I know is everyone who was anyone came and hollered at me after my set was over EVERYONE! Tonight I got all the love, and I mean allllll the love (okay...maybe not all the love, but I got a whole bunch)!
I recently did another artist showcase in NYC and compared to AF that shit was not cutting it! Lemme just get this straight first….New York has some of the most stubborn, crabby assed, NYC dick riding motherfuckers in life. If I would’ve pulled a fucking rabbit out of my ass while doing a one handed hand stand and making ziti these motherfuckers still would’ve acted all uptight! It was cool, but I know for a fact that I go in……those guys are jus gonna miss the boat.
ATL showed love and respect where respect was due. This is the exact reason that the South is poppin and the rest of the map is just poppin off at the fucking mouth! Ha! Holler at ya boy. I'll have the footage posted later.
