Gorilla Zoe is my nigga. I first met Zoe back in 2004 at a record store that him and his brother own on Peachtree st near Underground Atlanta called the funkshop. I was down there vacating with my new born son and wife at the time. When I met Zoe I had pretty long dreads and a gold grill. We hit it off talking about accesories when he had noticed a pair of shades that I had on and he liked them. Might I add you that this was way before the world knew about Gorilla Zoe, back when he was still ridin chevy's and manning the booth at the record store. I can't speak on whatever else he was doing, but anyone on Peachtree hustling knows what I'm talkin bout, And if I was to go there today and find my nigga Black he'd tell you I ain't lying one bit. I've been waiting to run into the man again, but since he blew up I haven't been able to contact him. You know he had to change the cell phone number and all. However we was on some real shit so I know he'd remember me. He was still at the record store in 2005 when I hit ATL to do some promo for my new record. He even helped me sell a few cd's from his shop. He said he had liked where I was taking the music because it was different from what was out nad that I should "stay down" in ATL. He said with my gring I'd catch a deal in no time. I should've listened...right!
Anyhow I've been hearing aboutthis video recently and I hadn't checked it out. Even though it has been on some of everybodies blog and what not, I just hadn't. As I was looking at World Star Hip Hop this morning I ran apon it and decided to give it a look. Might I add that I like this joint alot, and I can definitely relate to this joint. Hell sometimes I feel like I'm losing it too! It's different being in a world of your own. Maybe at a later note I'll take ya'll deeper into my feelings about the subject. For now enjoy the vid.
