This song always reminded me of how I would feel the day that I met the dopest female on earth.
Q-tip killed the first verse and his aproach was soooo smooth on the track as he described how this honey had him mesmerized with her black hair and her fat a$$ thighs! I can't even recall how old i was when this video came out maybe 12 or 13, what I do remember though is the warm feeling it gave me on the inside whenever I would listen to this song. Something about it just mesmerizes me.
The visual of the video is as just as good as the song. The images of mid nineties New York, the woman with the bob hair cut and the big earrings, the black college sweatshirts....everything about this video represents an era that was golden. Even to the fact that the song was about a woman, but there were no women being objectified at all in the video. This is a classy joint. The video seems like it was made by humble means also! You see they weren't focused on the shine or the fact that the video had to have a million dollar budget. They were obviously looking more towards the quality of the product. Man! I miss this music. Thank GOD for Youtube!
I hope all is well with all of you who've been checking up on me in my life and times. Stay up!
ATCQ - Electric Relaxation
Oh! I almost forgot about this one. Passin Me By by the Pharcyde! These two songs should've been on some 90's ghetto ballads compilation. I just couldn't let this one pass me by! I remember when I used to be scared to talk to the women that I wanted to talk to. Not anymore, I was once a semi-shy guy with a popular facade to hide behind though. I'm a MAN now! LOL.
