Fell in love with Harlem.

Harlem, New York I think I've found my home! I've been in NYC for a few days now and I am staying in Harlem. However each day i have been dipping from uptown to downtown and all around town. Today I decided to spend the day before my show in Harlem. How could I not have. I had visions of Malcolm X hanging on the street corners when he was still Detroit Red, and heard the sounds of Miles Davis blowing his horn to the heavens.
I can't beleive that i waas actually walking the streets of Lennox ave where countless numbers of my artistic heroes once traveled. No not Cam, Jimmy or Juelz (although they get down too), but Langston, Zora Neale and Dizzy! I don't know how significant that is to regular Harlemites, but that means a hell of a lot to me a an artist.
The women of Harlem are astounding and I am definitely a fan! All flavors from Boriqua, to Chocolate brown. i sincerely fell in love with Harlem. No where in Milwaukee can you get as much diversity as I have got in one day in good ol Harlem. The neighborhoods look as if they haven't changed since the beginnigs of Harlem (okay so Harlem is much gentrified now, but beyond that the infrastructure is still classic). And what other city honors Malcolm X ( MY UTMOST FAVORITE HUMAN OF ALL TIMES)with his own main thoroughfare? Every city has an MLK drive, street or ave, but folks cease to never recognize Malcoms excellence. I mean he makes Obama look like George Bush. Lol! Not quite, but I beleive malcolm was the best thing to EVER happen to African American people. And he called Harlem his home. I so want to call it mines too!
And lets not talk about the Apollo! I mean the history you breathe in when just walking past it! I purposely walked by it and stopped a number of times. I just wanted to be there in that moment if only for a moment in time.
Needless to say....i think I've found the place that eventually i want to call home. That is until I move to Ghana, West Africa!
