Waddown to all my Chi Town folks. Check out my homeboy Que Billah from the Chi as he recalls some of the craziest ish he ever pulled off with a female over the Kid Cudi "Make Her Say" instrumental. Enjoy!

The People I know: Hey I think I know that girl...it's Crystal aka @murdamex chilling with Naledge (Kids In The Hall) or is it?

So today as I was cruising online I ran across this picture of the homie Naledge (Kids In The Hall) alongside a pic of what seems to be the homegirl Crystal aka @murdamex (the girl on the right hand side). Okay, okay I haven't actually confirmed that it was her, but the girl in the pic sure looks like her! So hey...i'mma go with it.
And if it is...well damn we done lost a cutie to Chicago! Lol! We miss seeing her big, bright smile at the hip hop events, but I hope school, work and Chicago is treating her well!
Someone confirm this for me! For I'd hate to look like a fool.....i really don't care though.
Props to all of The People Girls I Know.

Mikkey Halsted "Best You nEver Heard" mixtape download

Yesterday I was invited down to Chicago to close out the night with a song at Mikkey Halsted's "Best You nEver Heard" mixtape release party. The night was a success and i got another opportunity to show face and build with some of my Chicago musical homies. More on that later.
Anyhow peeps check out this new Mixtape by Mikkey. It's pretty official. We listened to it on the way back from Chicago and I must say that it is pretty damn dope. Download it HERE .

Here is what Fakeshoredrive had to say about the tape:

Best You nEver Heard is finally upon us. Mikkey's latest opus serves as an introduction to those who may be unfamiliar with Mr. Halsted, or who see him on blogs and websites daily, and can't quite figure out why. Well, now is you chance.
This project includes tracks spanning from his time with Kanye West to his stint with Cash Money, and more recent work with No ID. These 38 heaters should more than get you up to speed. Best You nEver Heard features new, old and unreleased material - including snippets off his upcoming project, Dark Room (eg: "Runnin' My City" featuring Bun B, Killer Mike, Crooked I and others.)
The project was mixed by DJ Toure Stylz who did an exceptional job, so give it up for him as well.

Props to Andrew over @ FakeShoreDrive.Com who I also ran ino last night.

When They Reminisce: Adebisi interviews music producer No I.D. (2008)

While your out here living life you never really know who you will run into. And while your living.....you really don't even know what it is your actually doing or what you are doing it for.
In December of 2008 I had the opportunity to catch a quick interview with one of my all time favorite producers No I.D. It was cool because i was in Chicago at that time hanging out at Sound Scape Studios for Mikkey Halsted's Website launch party.
This was jus before Kanye West's "808's & Heartbreaks" and way, way before Jay-Z's "Blueprint 3" album was to ever see the day of light.
I posted this earlier on the blog, but when i did. I don't think folks were listening.
Think about it. When was the last time you got to chill and speak with the producer of "D.O.A"?

WoW! Chicago knows how to Party! Damn what they say about L.A! In CHI-TOWN it goes down!
I had a blast last night at the Mikkey Halsted "Internet on Lock" party ya'll. After being personally invited down by Mikkey, and his manager Javin Foreman you know I had to make it. The great part was that we had the camera with us. The bad part is that I swear we were filming in adequate light, but everytime I convert my videos over to Youtube they get dark as hell! maybe I should start using vimeo like everyone else is starting to do.
Well the ladies were definitely on point, and might I add they were showin mad love to the fellas from Milwaukee (me and the God X.O that is). Also the whole set was just showing us mad love! They even opened up the mic so I got to drop a hot ass freestyle in the middle of the whole set. Now thats love!
Everyone was in the building from GLC, No.I.D, Prolific, Naledge and many more. Check out some of the footage mayne!
